For your very first visit with Give Grace, be certain to choose the service "First Visit." This will allow time for you and/or your family to meet with your therapist, complete intake paperwork, and to have an initial 25 min. therapy session (individual or family).
You will be able to choose from 25 minute or 50 minute therapy/counseling sessions. In general, 50 minute sessions are recommended, however, we understand that often, emergency situations arise and you may feel the need to connect on specific issues for a shorter span of time. In these instances, a 25 minute session (often via phone or video conference) may be most convenient.
With the use of CBT, Give Grace emphasizes the importance of consciousness and thoughtfulness in how you feel and what you do. This type of therapy focuses on your mindset as it pertains to the people in your life or the events of your past.
Whether the child in your life is a toddler or teenager, there is an appropriate therapeutic method to assist in managing their complex emotions, life trauma and family dynamics. Give Grace uses play therapy, among others, to engage youth and create a conducive environment for trust building, sharing and personal growth.
Whether your family is in need of objective mediation, or in-depth problem solving and solution finding, Give Grace is prepared to take the time to create a personalized Family Wellness Plan to promote the health and mental as well as emotional happiness of your family.
Give Grace encourages Family Therapy Sessions for all families, and at least twice throughout the course of individual therapeutic treatments. Often, the issues you or your child are facing can be exacerbated or affected by those within your immediate family group.
